Yes, that’s a good question! It mainly all depends on how motivated you are and how many hours per month/week/day you are willing to invest in it! Make no excuses, just go for it!
And try to make learning fun as well, so watch series & films, read books, listen to songs and START SPEAKING FROM THE BEGINNING!
And of course: watch my videos and enroll in my courses 😉
Since I offer self-study courses, the certificate of completion is just for you. It’s not an official document that you can use for applying for a residence permit or for a job. For those purposes, you need to take the NT2 exams. For more info: https://www.staatsexamensnt2.nl/item/state-exams-dutch-as-a-second

Yes, I am 100% Dutch! In my videos I speak very clearly and slowly, so I could imagine it might sound a bit “non-native” every once in a while. And then I also have a foreign surname and a peculiar R which tends to sound sometimes American, sometimes Spanish, but YES: I was born and raised here! 😉 I made a video about this here.
I started in August 2019, because I noticed a couple of recurring mistakes most of my students made, so I initially started making videos to help them and also to try to reach out to other students who might be struggling with the same issues. But then I actually found my new passion: making videos! And so, the entire journey started!
The red cat is called Veggie and the “black/rusty” one is Nala.
