I’ve been watching Kim’s videos for a while now to learn Dutch. It works really well if you turn on the Dutch subtitles and read along while listening. How We’ll Help You Speak Dutch with Confidence
Let’s turn your Dutch into everyday conversations that flow naturally. You’ll learn practical vocabulary and phrases for real-life situations—so you can speak with confidence, whether you’re at the shop, with friends, or at work.
- The course is divided into several sections (each covering a specific theme) and the included lessons focus on different conversational topics.
- Throughout the course, we follow Mark and Diane. Each section begins with a dialogue between the two, followed by related exercises.
- Dozens of additional dialogues and stories with audio, ranging from A0 to B1 level, will let you practice reading and listening at different levels.
- Practice your speaking skills with shadowing and role-play exercises.
- Share your progress and practice your Dutch with other students in the Online Dutch Community.

To be sure, you can take the placement test on my website. If you score at least A1, your level matches this course!

In the A1, A2, and B1 courses, we focus more on grammar than on conversation skills.
In the Daily Dutch Conversations course, there’s ZERO grammar – we focus entirely on speaking and listening.
You’ll learn through dialogues and stories, and you’re encouraged to practice your speaking skills with shadowing and role-play exercises (on your own, with people around you, or with other students in the Online Dutch Community).
If you like, you can combine this conversation course with one or more of the grammar courses!
This is a self-study course, with all lessons pre-recorded and subtitled in both English and Dutch. Each lesson comes with downloadable PDFs containing all the explanations.
The advantage? You can follow the course as many times as you like, whenever it suits you, and entirely at your own pace! Please note: (Live) tutoring is not included.
You can learn all the theory with my YouTube videos for free. I believe that every human being has the right on information and that it should be free. But if you want to dive deeper, then this course is for you!
So, this course does not only include my YouTube videos, but also another 120+ hours worth of (downloadable) study-materials with which you can practice with what you’ve learned and to take your Dutch to the next level!!

The duration of the courses depends on your study pace and how often you practice. But as a general estimate: if you study 4 hours per week, you can complete the full program within 7-8 months.
There’s no end date—you only need to pay once, and you’ll get unlimited access to the entire course, which you can follow at your own pace!
Access to the Online Dutch Community, on the other hand, is limited — it expires after 6 months. (But you can always choose a (three-)monthly subscription afterwards if you’d like to extend it.)
The Certificate of Completion is for personal use only. It’s not an official document and cannot be used to apply for a residence permit or a job. For those purposes, you’ll need to take the official national NT2 exams, such as the Inburgeringsexamen or Staatsexamen NT2.
